Start around Nollendorfplatz, Berlin’s historic rainbow district, then choose Kreuzberg, Neukölln, Friedrichshain, or a current Pride and festival date.
Berlin’s historic rainbow district around Nollendorfplatz and Motzstraße: Hafen, Prinzknecht, Connection, New Action, and the Prinz Eisenherz bookshop sit within a few blocks, with the Schwules Museum a short walk toward Lützowstraße. This is the easiest first stop and the densest concentration of long-running gay bars.
Kreuzberg’s queer nightlife is mixed and alternative rather than a single gay-bar strip. Möbel Olfe sits in a courtyard off Reichenberger Straße at Kottbusser Tor; SO36 on Oranienstraße hosts long-running queer nights including Gayhane inside a mixed punk and culture hall.
Neukölln’s queer nightlife is thinner and more informal than Schöneberg. Silverfuture on Weserstraße is the one current, well-documented public bar in this release — a long-running, low-priced queer hangout rather than a club.
Friedrichshain’s public queer inventory in this census is Himmelreich, a neighbourhood bar on Simon-Dach-Straße since 2003, and Lab.oratory, the men-only fetish club in the Berghain building at Am Wriezener Bahnhof. They are not a walkable strip — treat them as two separate evenings.
Two standalone public rooms sit between Schöneberg and southern Kreuzberg: BEGiNE, a women-centered cultural centre, café, and bar on Potsdamer Straße since 1986, and BOILER, a men’s sauna on Mehringdamm. Neither is a nightlife strip; plan each as its own stop.

A men’s sauna on Mehringdamm with first-party hours, aufguss times, and Folsom 2026 opening notes. Included for travellers who specifically want a sauna and understand its adult entry rules.
