Proudly covers LGBTQ+ places and travel. That makes restraint especially important: we do not need to build a personal profile to learn whether a city guide is useful.
Optional analytics
Analytics is configured, but it loads only after you choose “Allow analytics.”
When active, it measures broad actions such as opening a city, using a filter, opening a map, or following a booking link. It must not receive names, email addresses, form text, inferred identity, or sensitive query parameters. Advertising personalization, Google Signals, User-ID, and session replay remain disabled.
Proudly Trips pages, when that product is enabled, do not send the address bar query, a campaign code, a handoff id, or the referring path as the page location. Directory pages keep their existing page-view measurement. Saved trips, watches, settings, billing, unsubscribe, and the editor do not load analytics. The Trips events that can be recorded are a public trip view, the names of filters that were used, a save, and a booking handoff. Those events omit email, budget, dates, interests, and free text. A verified Pro payment is counted on the server. A checkout click is not a purchase. There are no ad pixels.
A short code on a Trips link, such as nav or city, maps to a campaign name only after you allow analytics. The code is not an identity or audience label. Declining analytics drops it.

Newsletter
Newsletter collection is not currently connected, so the site does not accept email addresses.
When activated, signup will be explicit, confirmation will be required, and every edition will provide a simple unsubscribe path. Joining this monthly directory note does not turn on Proudly Trips email.
Proudly Trips
Trips stays off in the default directory. A header link or a city-guide link appears only in a build that explicitly enables Trips. The city-guide link is a further opt-in and sits after the stay and activity cards. It does not publish a fare on the city page.
When a fixture preview is on, an account can store airports, a budget, a work schedule, optional interests, saved trips, and watches. Those fields stay on the account. They are not written into public URLs or analytics. Sign-in is Clerk when that project is configured. Account records are Convex when that project is configured. The local fixture stand-in does not call either service.
Trip email is separate from the monthly directory newsletter. It is opt-in. The weekly digest, and a Pro match note, say that a matching trip was found and link back to the site. They include a destination and a date label. They do not include fares, flight schedules, or hotel quotes. Unsubscribe uses its own token link and does not change the directory newsletter. This checkout records fixture deliveries locally and does not call Resend.
Pro checkout is test-mode and stays off unless billing is enabled. A return URL does not grant Pro. Live Stripe keys are refused. Card details are not stored on this site.
Corrections and suggestions
Information submitted through correction, place-suggestion, and business-update forms enters a private editorial queue in Sanity. It is reviewed before publication and is not sent to analytics.
Interactive maps
City map frames are part of each guide. As you approach one, Proudly automatically requests the map style and tiles from OpenFreeMap, using map data from OpenStreetMap. Like any web host, that provider receives ordinary connection information such as an IP address and browser headers.
Proudly sends the provider no form contents, search terms, email addresses, identity information, or precise device location. The map uses editor-checked coordinates for public listings; it does not ask for your location. The complete directory and external direction links remain available if the interactive map does not load.
Affiliate links
Proudly currently participates in the Agoda and Klook affiliate programs. Some booking links may earn Proudly a commission. Those links are visibly disclosed, marked sponsored for search engines, and open on the partner’s site under the partner’s own privacy terms. Partner reporting—not visitor profiling on this site—is the source of truth for bookings and commissions.
