Manila LGBTQ+ guide: a simple first weekend
Choose one Metro Manila district per outing: Quezon City for drag, Ortigas or BGC for larger nightlife, Makati for queer-friendly bars, and Pride or film by current program.

The 30-second version
“Manila” here means Metro Manila: a group of cities, not one walkable center. Quezon City has several major drag venues and the largest Pride gathering; Ortigas and BGC have destination clubs; Makati and Cubao add queer-friendly cafés and event venues.
How the scene fits together
The old Malate story matters, but today’s useful listings are spread across the metro. Do not plan O Bar, Rampa, Nectar, and a Makati event as if they are on one street. Pick one anchor and leave time for traffic.
Women-focused and all-gender choices
Dedicated sapphic permanent venues remain limited in the current source pass. For the Love of Women and other women-led organizers create real event spaces, so they belong in the event filter with a current date—not misrepresented as permanent bars.
Pride, film, and culture
Metro Manila Pride, Love Laban Pride, Pelikulaya, and QCinema Pride are the strongest annual public anchors. The Philippines’ drag scene also makes ordinary venue calendars culturally important year-round.
A simple first weekend
- Friday: book one drag venue—O Bar or Rampa—and let that district define the night.
- Saturday: choose Nectar, a current sapphic party, Butterboy drag brunch, or a queer café; do not zigzag across the metro.
- Sunday: use the current Pride or film program, or spend an ordinary day in the neighborhood where you are already staying.

Metro Manila trips take longer than the map suggests. Use ride-hail or local transit with a large buffer, save the exact branch and entrance, bring physical ID, and reserve drag shows when the official page recommends it.
