Singapore LGBTQ+ guide: a simple first weekend
Start around Neil Road for the easiest bar night, then use Pink Dot, Pink Fest, party organizers, and queer film to plan only what is actually happening.

The 30-second version
Neil Road and nearby Tanjong Pagar form Singapore’s easiest queer nightlife cluster. Tantric is the clearest landmark, with several other bars close enough for a short walk. Singapore is compact, but the party or community program you want may be elsewhere.
How the scene fits together
Bars are straightforward; public assembly rules are not. Pink Dot’s official FAQ explains who may enter the physical event and what foreign visitors can do. Read it directly instead of treating all Pride events as interchangeable.
Women-focused and all-gender choices
The permanent bar list leans gay-male. Broader LGBTQ+, women-focused, and arts programming is more often event-led through Pink Fest, Hyper, film screenings, and independent organizers. Filters overlap, but we only apply “women-focused” when the organizer says so.
Pride, film, and culture
Pink Dot, Pink Fest, IndigNation, and The Projector’s changing program provide the strongest public cultural anchors. The Projector is a general cinema, relevant only when the current calendar is queer.
A simple first weekend
- Friday: begin at Tantric and choose one nearby bar instead of trying to visit the whole Neil Road cluster.
- Saturday: book one current party, Pink Fest event, or film; let its venue determine the rest of the night.
- Sunday: use The Projector or a community program only when the current calendar has something you want.
Before you go
The MRT makes most trips easy. Bring physical ID for nightlife, check last entry and dress rules, and read the current organizer page. Alcohol service, smoking areas, event tickets, and public-gathering rules can differ from what a visitor expects.
