Tokyo’s compact, famous queer nightlife district. It is the easiest first stop, but its hundreds of rooms range from open street bars to tiny community-specific counters.

Ueno and Asakusa

General sightseeing districts included because two 24 Kaikan bathhouses are here. Treat each as a destination, not as evidence that the surrounding streets form one visible queer district.

Pride · public events

Shibuya and Harajuku

A broad public culture and event area that becomes queer-relevant for Tokyo Pride and selected programs around Yoyogi Park. It is not a permanent queer nightlife district.
