Rua Farme de Amoedo

Riotur names Rua Farme de Amoedo as a main LGBTI+ street: restaurants, hostels, hotels, and bars behind Posto 9. It is a street cluster inside Ipanema, not a second city. Booze Bar prints number 47 on its own site and does not call itself an LGBTQ room, so it is not a second public listing here. Community lead-gen still names Bar da Dado at number 49 without a first-party traveler page.

Getting oriented

Think of this as an area to know, not a border.

Queer life spills across Rio de Janeiro. This page simply groups places that are easy to combine in one outing.

Getting there
A short walk from Metrô General Osório toward the orla. The beach end of the street is Posto 9.
Accessibility
Street, building, lift, toilet, seating, and sensory access vary by venue. Check the exact venue when access is important.

Rua Farme de Amoedo

Riotur calls this Ipanema street one of the city’s main LGBTI+ spots, with restaurants, hostels, hotels, and bars behind the beach. It is the street, not a single venue.
