The 30-second version
The walkable first evening is Chueca. Start at Plaza de Chueca. Then choose a street: Pelayo for LL Bar, Bears Bar, and Delirio; Gravina for Truco and Fluide Escape; Infantas for Zarpa Bear and Hot. Plaza de Pedro Zerolo is the other square. Berkana is on Hortaleza. Fulanita de Tal is on Regueros. Studio54 is on Barbieri. Why not? is on San Bartolomé. Black & White is on Libertad.
How the scene fits together
Madrid in this guide is a district, not four far-apart clusters. Chueca is the barrio. The streets are the crawl. Malasaña is not mapped: La Federica and other leads stayed private without a first-party door. Museo Chicote and the cocktail rooms on the Turismo Madrid page are not LGBTQ listings and are not copied here. OpenStreetMap still names several Chueca buildings after older tenants. Those names are not second public listings.
Bars and rooms with a specific door
LL Bar prints daily drag shows from 22:30 to close; the same site’s hours block also prints from 22:00, so confirm the door. Delirio opens after midnight. Truco’s government listing still says hours to be confirmed. Fluide Escape’s government listing prints late hours through the week. Fulanita de Tal is the women-led room, Thursday to Sunday on the Turismo Madrid page. Why not? and Black & White are government listings without a first-party site. Zarpa Bear and Hot have addresses on the Chueca nightlife page and no printed hours.
Daytime and the squares
Berkana is the daytime stop: Hortaleza 62, not 64. Plaza de Chueca sits on the metro. Plaza de Pedro Zerolo is where Turismo Madrid places the next MADO pregón, still marked por confirmar.
Pride and the calendar
Orgullo Madrid / MADO 2026 is over. The next pregón is listed for 30 June 2027 and marked por confirmar. QueerCineMad’s 31st edition is dated 10–26 November 2026 on Turismo Madrid. MAD.BEAR is 3–10 December 2026 on the organiser site. Buy only from the organiser.
Before you go
Madrid uses Europe/Madrid. Metro L5 to Chueca covers the plaza and Gravina. Gran Vía is closer to Infantas, Why not?, and Studio54. Night buses and taxis are the realistic way after the last metro. Cover, last entry, and show times change; read the venue or Turismo Madrid page the day you go.
