Downtown is not a gay-bar strip. The public queer inventory here is The Corner at 1035 N. Miami Avenue, a mixed late-night bar whose own calendar hosts Dyke Nite and other queer parties. Treat it as a mainland last-call or sapphic-night stop, not a replacement for South Beach.

Getting there: Metromover and downtown buses serve North Miami Avenue. Rideshare from South Beach crosses the MacArthur or Venetian Causeway; do not plan a late walk.
Accessibility: Street, building, lift, toilet, seating, and sensory access vary by venue. Check the exact venue when access is important.

A first-party downtown bar at 1035 N. Miami Avenue with posted late hours. Its own calendar hosts Dyke Nite and other queer parties — Reddit threads name it as a sapphic lead, and the venue pages confirm those nights. This census lists it as a mixed late-night bar with a regular queer programme, not as a lesbian bar.

South Beach around Washington Avenue and Ocean Drive
Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau still names the South Beach district in Miami Beach as the heart of the local LGBTQ scene. Twist sits on Washington Avenue next to the 11th Street Diner; Palace is a block east on Ocean Drive. Lust programmes the after-dark room at Wanderlust (1200 Washington). Diva Royale’s ticketed drag show is further north at Revenge, 1532 Washington. The LGBT Visitor Center is in Old City Hall at 1130 Washington Avenue. This is the easiest first evening and the densest walkable cluster in this census.
Lincoln Road
A few blocks north of the Washington Avenue strip, Hotel Gaythering occupies a 1958 MiMo building at 1409 Lincoln Road. Its public bar posts a weekly queer programme, and the official site also names a men-only wellness sauna in the same building. GMCVB lists the hotel as the destination’s gay hotel. Lincoln Road is a pedestrian street — treat this as a second evening, not a continuation of Ocean Drive.
Wynwood
Wynwood’s public queer inventory in this census is still R House, a restaurant and drag-brunch room at 2727 NW 2nd Avenue. It is not a gay-bar strip. Gramps (Double Stubble) and Willy’s Neighborhood Bar closed; do not walk to those old addresses. Plan R House as its own outing from South Beach — across the Venetian or MacArthur Causeway, then north into the arts district. Wynwood Pride takes over the neighbourhood in June when the organiser posts a current year.
Coral Way and Flagami
Azucar Nightclub is the mainland Latin LGBTQ+ dance room at 2301 SW 32nd Avenue, west of Little Havana and not far from Coral Gables. It is a Thursday–Sunday club, not a casual hangout and not on Calle Ocho. Plan a dedicated rideshare; this is not a South Beach bar crawl add-on.
Little River
Little River / Miami’s Upper East Side holds SUPERNATURAL haus, a private club and creative studio at 777 NE 79th Street. New Times listed it among the city’s current queer rooms in June 2026. It is event- and membership-led, not a walk-up gay bar. Confirm the night on the official RSVP page before you go.
Little Havana along Calle Ocho
Calle Ocho between SW 13th Court and SW 17th Avenue is the historic street of Gay8, the Hispanic/Latino LGBTQ festival GMCVB still names. The official Gay8 site describes the route and Domino Park programming but does not currently post a dated 2027 edition. This is a daytime festival street when it runs, not a permanent gay-bar strip. Azucar is west of here on Coral Way — do not conflate the two.
